Vocabulary and Spelling of the French Words mentioned in this episode
Le temps = time (general notion)
Le temps passe vite = Time flies.
Une fois = a time (occurrence)
Il était une fois = once upon a time
Je ne le répèterai pas trois fois = I won’t repeat it 3 times !
L’heure (nf) = the time (hour)
Vous avez le temps? = Do you have the time? (do you have a few minutes for me ?)
Vous avez l’heure?= Do you have the time ? (do you know what time it is ?)
Il est dix heures = It’s 10’oclock.
Il est QUELLE HEURE ? / Quelle heure est-il ? / Quelle heure il est ? = What time is it ?
…du matin = am
… de l’après-midi = pm (afternoon)
…du soir =pm (evening)
Il est trois heures vingt = It’s 3.20
Il est trois heures cinquante / Il est quatre heures moins dix = It’s 3.50
Il est deux heures cinq = It’s 2.05
